We started Chicago Box Company to provide moving boxes and moving supplies directly to people like YOU who want to save money by doing all or some of your own packing for your upcoming relocation.   

We have been in the moving industry since 1971 as an owner operator and customer service coordinator for a major van line.  Because of this experience, we have the knowledge and patience to work with you and help you to decide what supplies you actually will need to make your move and then to provide them to you at the most competitive prices you will find in the Chicago land area.  In addition to the very low cost, these items are delivered quickly and directly to you.  Not only are you saving money, but also the time it would take to shop around for these items, and the physical energy needed to load and unload them into and out of your vehicle.  Since some boxes such as wardrobes, dish packs and extra large size do not fit into most automobiles, you would also need access to a van, pickup truck, or a larger vehicle.  Chicago Box Company does not add a delivery charge to your purchase and we are quite happy to make more than one delivery to you according to the time frame of your packing and move.

Certainly you can go to your local grocery stores and get some boxes for free . . . but are you willing to invite into your new home some “unwelcome guests” that might be lurking in those boxes such as bugs, spiders, mildew and mold?  I think you would not.  Also, these boxes were made to carry the items that are packed in them, not household goods.  We want your belongings to arrive at your new home clean and most of all intact.

Some moving companies will offer used boxes for a low cost or even free IF you are using THEIR services.  Once again I have to ask, “Do you know what was in that box before you start putting your treasured belongings into it?”  Of course you don’t.  This is why it is important to pack your belongings into a clean, proper sized box.

Because of our years in the business we have access to the same boxes that any moving company would use to pack your belongings for a move.  They boxes are the same sizes, strength, and most of all they are ALWAYS clean and brand new.
